Hiya Rob,

Enjoyable podcast as ever and I must say if this was a ramble, then ramble on! Very enjoyable listening to your exploits and adventures with the EOS and M42 lenses and I must make mention of your comments on the advantages of a lens hood - "Long Live the Lens Hood!". So good to hear someone realising the benefits and advantages they bring and something that is so overlooked, protection for your lens, reduced glare and also in doing so increasing the contrast of your final images. Well done. (Although they tend to be ranked for older lenses even a good new multi-coated lens can often be helped by a good hood.)

A thankyou for making me suddenly jump to the PC rewinding and listening again to the link for my site. (Big smile!)
Mssr Louis Deguerre indeed! Don't forget his old friend Joseph Nicéphore Niépce ;)

Look forward to the new assignments on the group.

All the best,

Victor

Hi Victor,

Thanks for the comments on the 'cast - and yes, I'm proud to be a "hoodie"!

Cheers, Rob.
